Full STEAM Ahead offers three comprehensive programs for children and families that strive to support:
Children Socially and Emotionally by providing staff that are responsive to the individual child while encouraging self-care and independence; Children Intellectually by providing opportunities that reflect the child’s interest while exposing them to the world of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. These opportunities provide time for interactive exploration while also providing a unique and exciting learning experience. Furthermore, activities prepare children for future life experiences and Physical Development by providing a well-balanced diet, an outstanding outdoor play environment and a variety of physically stimulating activities.
Infant Program
This program is based on the knowledge that babies are active learners involved in a process that uses all their senses as they work and play with people and materials. Professionally trained staff plan and arrange stimulating learning environments that are appropriate for each developmental stage of an infant. These environments include indoor and outdoor areas where infants participate in activities in these areas.
Toddler Program
This program is designed to provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment that will stimulate learning. Along with the individual caregiving moments, teachers will also plan and organize their environments to provide experiences that enhance language acquisition and motor development.
Preschool Program
Early Literacy is very important at this stage too, as children will begin to learn the art of writing through fine motor development. The classrooms are organized into centers such as reading, science, math, and writing.

At Full Steam Ahead our philosophy and approach is holistic, focusing on the whole child and centered upon depth and breadth of learning and education. Our educators introduce a broad topic or theme for children to explore while allowing them to go as far or deep in that subject as they wish.
What may begin with an introduction to climate and weather on a windy day may evolve into how wind is created, what a tornado is, how they are formed, and then making a tornado in a bottle! We go where the children go which is what child-centered education is all about. In so doing, learning becomes fun and a continuous adventure exploring new ideas and concepts the children are interested in!
Parents are then encouraged to practice and explore with their children at home as we provide ideas and resources to extend their child's learning beyond school and the classroom, opening up the world to them in teaching and application while providing quality time to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
